Manchester United administrator Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said his group can draw motivation from his own 1999 high pitch winning side, who took Liverpool out of the FA Cup in the fourth round, when the different sides meet again at a similar stage on Sunday.

Solskjaer scored the triumphant objective in added time 22 years back to seal a 2-1 rebound triumph and United proceeded to lift the FA Cup to add to their Premier League title win.

“Against Liverpool we got that increase in transforming 1-0 down into a 2-1 success against a major group.

“The FA Cup is a run we must appreciate as long as it endures. We got to the semis a year ago and as I stated, we will roll out a couple of improvements however we’ll put a group out there that I expectation can experience.”

Solskjaer said Swedish focus back Victor Lindelof will return for the Liverpool game after he missed five of their last seven matches in all rivalries because of a back physical issue.

“Victor will be fine for the end of the week,” he said.

“He got some treatment (on Wednesday) and did some light preparing so he ought to be prepared for the end of the week.”
